Writing 4th Grade Essays in Class

Writing 4th Grade Essays in ClassAs a teacher, you know that you can't just stick to your coursework and expect the students to keep your attention. You have to help them in various ways so that they will want to read the other materials. One way is by reading persuasive essays. The first point in reading a persuasive essay is to determine the age of the students. Check the point as to whether or not they are mature enough to be able to grasp it. Also, make sure that it is not going to bore them or bore the class to death. Try to write something that is very interesting and not dry and boring.Second, check out the type of audience for a persuasive essay. Do you write something that is suitable for upper or lower elementary school students? A middle school student is going to be able to understand it easily but what about a sixth grader? Don't write something that is too technical for your grade level. Try to find out how old the students are before writing it.Third, evaluate the subje ct of the persuasive essay. Does it have a strong angle or problem? Sometimes, these lessons require the students to think critically. This is why they are required to read written materials on a different subject. So try to consider their age as well as their skills in learning.Fourth, find out the benefits and advantages that a person will gain if he or she reads about a certain subject or fact. If it is a good lesson then the students will feel it is a good topic and it should be studied further. Make sure that you include the lessons that will benefit everyone including the students.Fifth, determine the best and easiest way to write a persuasive essay. Some students might prefer to write one and others may prefer to do it in a group. When you write a persuasive essay in a group, it is easier to present it. In fact, a group can help you solve any problems that you have. Make sure that you know that the students are working hard to get to the topic.Sixth, read through the four fou rth grade topics that will be taught in class. Compile the list of essay topics so that you can plan the next step. This is where you start writing and testing the material. Make sure that you include all of the different types of persuasive essays that will be introduced in the year.Make sure that you are familiar with how persuasive essays are written. This will help you in the coming year when you are in charge of teaching the essays in class.
